Background
He began to study and practice making sculptures as a prisoner of war KNIL in Singapore between the years 1946-1949 and then continued through formal education in ASRI Yogyakarta Kelabhawa graduated in 1955 and Visva Bharati University Santiniketan, India graduated in 1957. [1] In addition to as a sculptor, he was also a lecturer at the Institut Seni Indonesia, Yogyakarta.

Indonesia benama EDHI Sunarso born in Salatiga, on July 2, 1932. This
one sculptor who is known for his works that can be found in various
cities in Indonesia.Edhi Sunarso was a sculptor several monuments and
historical diorama. Among them is a statue monument welcome at the Hotel Indonesia roundabout and Diorama Historical National Monument in Jakarta. Edhi
Sunarso received an award from the government awarded the Bintang
Budaya Parama Honors Dharma on karyanya.Selain it works, Edhi Sunarso
also take part in the education world. Since 1958 - 1959 he was active as a lecturer at the Art Academy of Surakarta. He taught at (STSRI) College of Arts Indonesia ASRI Yogyakarta as chairman of the Department of Sculpture. In
1967-1981 as a lecturer at (Teachers' Training College) Vocational
Institute of Education Sciences of Yogyakarta, in the year 1968 to 1984
as an assistant lecturer concurrently Chairman of Academic STSRI / ISI,
and as a lecturer at (ISI) Indonesian Art Institute and as Secretary of
